Bead day

It’s been cloudy here yesterday and today.  Encourages me to find things to do indoors.

Today was beading day in the craft room.  I took an antique necklace Mom gave me last November that had broken and needed help.  It was one long string of beautiful bright red glass beads of various sizes.  One of the gals is the resident bead expert and she gave me a hand figuring out what to do with it.  We decided to restring it on wire and make it with a center drop and double strings on each side.  And I put in some matching seed beads to simulate the knots the original string had.  I have it part way done, and it’s looking good if I do say so myself.  I should be able to finish it up next Tuesday when the beaders meet again.

I spent the rest of the day fooling around with this blog.  Rearranging things and finding a theme I like.  Learning how to make links and all kinds of fun stuff.
