About Cweenmj

cweenmj2.gif

I am the Cween. But you can call me mj. Welcome to my whirrld. It’s a strange place, but that’s ok, they know me here.

I anointed myself Queen (well, no one else was going to), changed the spelling so my screen name is cween mj. (That is actually the Old English spelling.) There are so many mj’s around I wanted to make sure I got an absolutely unique web identity. I wouldn’t want to get confused for Michael Jordan. ;->

Richard and I are wandering around the country enjoying retirement. We live in a 38 foot Winnebago. Home is where our RV is. They say it is better to have seen a place once than to hear about it a thousand times. So far we have seen 38 states and we want to see them all. Some of them more than once.

This blog is for our friends and family so they can keep up with us and our travels. But if you were just out wandering the web and fell in, you’re welcome to stay and look around.

If you want to know where I am and what I’m doing, check out my blog — it’s over there on the the right labeled Recent Posts, or click on a day on the calendar to see what got posted on any given day.

Pictures of where we’ve been and things we’ve seen are at the CampOry Pictures

Feel free to check out the rest of the stuff on the links. After all, I put it there just for you. You’ll find some of my favorite places on the web. And at the top of the page are some old messages from our life on the road.

Thanks for stopping by,

mj

Congrats! You are now a part of the blogger world. The biggest problem I have is posting. I was doing great for awhile, but now I have at least three posts to write. And what am I doing? Reading other’s blogs.

We decided to buy a small lot at North Ranch. It is unimproved, so we should have fun landscaping it. I’m not sure we’ll “live” there much. But it will be ours. I don’t think we can rent it out, however we have some friends lot sitting on one of the big lots now. Maybe we’ll have to find us a lot sitter. That’s later down the road. Right now we need to put in a sprinkler system and some gravel. We won’t plant anything until next fall. We’ll probably park there during May. From Stanton we will travel to Texas to attend a rally and visit relatives.

How long do you plan on being at North Ranch?

    Cweenmj,

if you and your Richard come back to the East Coast, be sure to email (and you are the only one I’ve given my real email address to) or call or write me…I’ll take you both to the best wineries in the Finger Lakes, or hiking or biking or to restaurants or waterfalls or whatever you wish.. I love your sense of play and humor. You are an inspiration to me.

    O hai cweenmj!

I was at ICHC – clicked on your comment, and as sometimes happens, clicked on your name instead!! And got fascinatated with ‘Why Can’t I Own a Canadian.” First – the video clip made me realize how much I miss “West Wing.” And Why, o WHY couldn’t we have had a president like that? AND why did no one mention the necessity to stone disobedient children? That would seem like a biggy to me. However, my sister reminds me that there is no mention of how big the stones must be, so perhaps you could get away with just throwing a few small pebbles at them!! LOL!!

Hi there from Taba (from ihazcheezburger). My family and I are constantly traveling too! We made it from South Carolina to Michigan and our car broke down. Too bad ur all the way in Oregon right now, we are currently looking for somene with ride to take us to a hippie commune in mid Georgia because we cannot survive the winter here. We even put up flyers that we’re offering to pay for gas there and then once there u stay 4 free. We’d hitch hike but we know we can’t make it with our 16 month old son. Maybe u and I should share adventures?

    Hi MJ!
This is my first time to visit you and I love your pics! May I copy them to mine so I can use them on my school website? I have 4 cats, a mini-doxi and a hermit crab. My other children are two boys and a girl, ages 25, 23 and soon to be 15. I take pics also and will send you some. I use them as inspiration for painting.
Where ever you are, I hope you have a beautiful day!

    Ohai MJ.

I agree with you 100% about keeping the ICHC site Family friendly. Some of the comments that have been coming in recently are pushing the boundaries of decency and decorum.

I run and moderate an on-going, on line, story forum
( http://www.network54.com/forum/235863 )and we try to kkeep that at a PG-13 level, but I will admit that since we are ALL adults it does, at times, head towards an R rating.

Give the site a read if you like, but I warn you… there is a lot of writing there… We have bee writing for about 6 years on the current site and about two years at a previous location, which no longer exists. we lost a lot of good writing when they shut that old site down.

If you do want to read the current tail or tale.. Start here…
To our Readers: open thread – The Narrator on Jun 30, 2008

That puts you at the start of the current story line.

    ((((Hugs)))) to you,

    Catslave (Ted)
