More Meebo

You may remember I tried using Meebo for instant messaging to/from me, but it was a bit of a bust since my flakey internet connection kept bumping me off. Well, I decided to play around with it some more and now I have set up a Meebo chat room. I have made it open to the public, that means any of you reading this. Others may wander in, who knows?  (I do have the capability of banning individuals if we get attacked by people who don’t like to play nice.) The web address is:

And I’ll put a link to it over there on the left, too.   Right now it has a tiger icon, but I’ll change that in a day or two (I hope) to my lovely mj with a crown.

It should be available 24/7 for you. I don’t have to be online for you to talk on it. And you don’t have to have a Meebo account, but you can get one just by going to http://www.Meebo.com

Format

Well, after a couple weeks of fooling around I think I have finally settled on a format for my blog.  That’s not to say I won’t tweek it here and there.  They wouldn’t have given me all these cute buttons to push if they didn’t want me to fiddle with them. 

I have a book on HTML and I will continue poking around with that.  I’ve already learned how to put in links with a name.    Maybe next I’ll play with tables.  But not now.  House is on.

Meebo

I found this cute little meebo thing that allows instant messaging from you to me from within my blog.  But it is kind of wonky right now.  Actually I think it is my internet connection that is wonky.  It says I’m offline sometimes when I am online.  I can sit here and watch it disconnect all by itself even when my Internet icon says I’m still connected.  Aaarrrggh.  Maybe when I get somewhere with a better internet connection, it will behave itself?.?.?  Well, I’ll leave it on my page for a while and see how it goes.

If you do use it to IM me, your messages only come to me…no one else sees the conversation.

Enough for Day 1

Well, it’s been a long day of playing with this blog and trying to figure things out.  I’ve written stuff and copied stuff.  I’ve tried out different colors and themes.  I’ve loaded things and losted things.   I’ve gnashed my teeth and cursed computers.   I may even come back tomorrow and do something else.
