This morning we went into town for breakfast at Bev’s Cafe, a nice little place for a cup of coffee and a filling breakfast. Next up we hit the Farmer’s Market and got fresh sweet corn, potatoes and green beans.
We came home just long enough to put the veggys in the fridge. Then we went back into town and took a Trolley tour, something we had been telling ourselves we would do ever since we got here in June. They took us through town pointing out many historical and picturesque places.
This is the beautifully restored St. James Hotel on Main Street.
After the Trolly tour, we went on the Site Sea Er II — a sight seeing boat on the Mississippi that we had been watching cruise down the river in front of our camper twice a day. We saw bald eagles all along the river, singly and in pairs.
Then we came home again. Bud showed up and came inside. He had a dinner of canned salmon and we had dinner of boiled green beans and potatoes with cream gravy.
A much better day than yesterday. 😀
