Yesterday Richard had 3 lipomas removed from the base of his throat. He has had lipomas before; they are non-cancerous fatty tumors. Usually, the doctor does the procedure in his office, but this time he was concerned that one of them may have entangled itself in his chest cavity. So he had Richard go to the hospital and used an operating room with anethesia and everything.
The surgery went well, and he is home now. Taking the occasional pain killer and moving kinda slow, but he should be fine in a few days.
