We are in West Memphis, Arkansas.  We will spend a week or two here, depending on the weather.  Today was gorgeous!  Bright sunshine and no wind.  😀

Last night we were at Sikeston, Missouri.  The campground is just a half a mile from the Lambert Cafe, home of Throwed Rolls.  And there is no point being that close to good food if you aren’t going to eat some!!  The cafe sent a shuttle to the campground to pick us up.  The driver took us in the back door (bypassing a 45 minute wait at the front door) and got us a table right away!!!  Richard and I both had the liver and onions.  It was soooooooooooooooo good.  😀  And the rolls were fresh and HOT out of the oven.

We want to play tourist here in Memphis.  There are plenty of things to see and do besides Graceland.

“Throwed” not “thrown”? Is that unusual grammar or is it normal over there, just asking :)? I would guess it has something to do with the rolls before they go into the oven 😉 .
Interesting that they take checks/cheques and not credit cards. (Hardly anyone uses checks/cheques over here and most businesses will refuse them as electronic fund transfer or Visa is the norm in Australian restaurants and retail generally.) Thanks for the updates, my queen 😀

Throwed is informal southern dialect. And it refers to the waiter throwing them to you when you hold your hand up. 😀

As to the money, checks aren’t used that much here either. They have an ATM next to the cashier.
