Florida Welcome Wagon

Its nice to get a warm welcome to your new home.  😀

No, this isn’t our house.  😆  Thank goodness!!!

We closed on Thursday.  It was a long day, starting at 9 when I went to the bank to wire the closing costs to the title company.  Then, we went and signed a-a-a-l-l-l-l the papers.  Sheesh!  I thought we had already given them plenty of samples of our signatures, but no, they needed even more.  🙄  By the time we got out of the title company it was after 1.

We took some stuff over to the house; removed the back seat from the jeep and stowed it in the garage.  Next stop, Best Buy to get a nice, big TV, sound bar and stand.  We managed to fit them in the back of the jeep, with one box poking out the back window.  I drove very carefully  back to the house and unloaded them.

Friday we got up early and went to the house, set up the PC, built the TV stand, unboxed the TV and got it set up on the stand just in time for the Verizon tech to get there to hook everything up.  He arrived shortly after 11 and finished up around 3.  We have wifi internet, cable TV and a phone.

..

Today We took more stuff over to the house and I did some shopping at Petco and Target.  I got Bud the basics for the spoiled cat — a recirculating water fountain and a giant cat condo.  And for us mere humans I picked up some bedding, dishes, silverware.   While I was at the house I even ran a couple of loads of laundry.

So there you have it — the perfectly furnished house: a tv and a cat condo.

More furniture should arrive on Tuesday.

wonderful. i am sure bud will let you and your hubcat share his spacious cat condo for a few nights until your furniture arrives.
where in Florida is your new home town?

    • cweenmj says:

We are in Wesley Chapel, which is just north of Tampa.
I think we’ll stay in the motorhome until the furniture arrives. I am waaaaaaay to old to sleep on the floor, and for sure I don’t fit in the cubbyholes in the cat condo. 😆

Yay! Finally you have S P A C E! Love the sunny walls, that gorgeous wood floor, and of course, Bud’s condo! He will love his new home, as I’m sure you both will. Maybe not as adventureous but fewer headaches, I hope.

What a great kitteh condo – all kinds places to “attack”. Nao you can haz hi-def TV. A friend has one and it’s a bit too big (IMHO) for the room they have it in. I felt like I needed to back up about 5 feet. Wood floors all the way through? So nice. You’ll have a ball getting area rugs I’ll bet. That crock-a-gator would NAWT be welcome at my door. *OK adds annuver bad critter dat ai nawt wanna meet*

  5. Catsablanca says:

Yay yay yay!!!!! So glad everything worked out for you!!!! Is that a ledge I see within leaping distance of the kitteh condo? You mentioned previously that there are gators in the lake out back….please please please do not let Bud outside, even on his harness. Those things can run amazingly fast, and we do nawt want anything to happen to our Royal Bud!!! OR to our Cween adn hur Royal Consort. Call me if you need any help moving in, neighbor!!!

    • cweenmj says:

Yes, deh reezin I gotted deh tawl condo wuz so Bud can hop ontu deh ledge. I figgered if I didn’t, he wud find a way up there anyhow, leaving kitty prints on the wall and/or breaking things.

    and welcome home!!!

  9. Jenni says:

Terry says “Oh no, you need chairs. Especially as you get older, trust me, I know.” He speaks from the depth of his being almost 39… I agree, though, Bud needs a cushy place to sleep when he’s done playing with his cat condo! You know he’s too good to sleep in a place you bought with the intention of him using it for sleep…

Replying to my own comment to add when Kiddo looked at the pictures, he asked ” Can we see a picture of her COUCH?” Terry said “See??” rofl!

O, my Cween, what a loveley palace you have! Congratiolations to you and Richard for, now offcially, buying the house. It looks like a happy place and Bud will be such a spoiled kittykat once he set footz in this place. Please take your time moving all the stuff in, so you won’t be to tired to enjoy the place. Love Elka.
