Do retired people take vacations?  Of course we do!!  This week we went to New Orleans.  We met up with Richard’s sister and her hubby.  The four of us had a good time taking in the sights, sounds and flavors of the Big Easy.

We had beignets at Cafe Du Monde, took a carriage ride through the French Quarter, rode a steamboat down the river to site of the Battle of New Orleans, wandered around the Garden District, toured a couple of plantations, and ate some really good food.

Here are a handful of photos.  I will be posting more on my photo-blog starting tomorrow.
